I am not interested in teaching or anything like that. I do plan on going for a bachelors degree but until then could I work somewhere in the editing field?

Have you thought of applying at your local newspaper as an intern or as an associate editor. This might help you get a better placement when you finish your education. Good luck

I am very computer savy and I have very good photography skills. I am thinking of getting a degree in Computer Art Graphic Design what could I do with it in addition to photography talent.

You could freelance as a Computer Graphic Designer and use your photos in your work to make mixed media art. I’ve seen some pretty cool mixed media wall art, jewelry, posters, etc… I have graduated with a Computer Graphic Design degree and I design websites and create all kinds of marketing materials. I would love to add photography to my skills and job description!

Okay, let’s THINK and find everything wrong with this.

1) We can’t get kids to finish high school. Funding college is not the problem. Let’s identify the problem and fix it. Obama’s plan will help a very small percentage of kids in poverty.

2) Why is it a good message to say we should take a loan out and it will be forgiven in 20 years? What is my incentive to pay it off sooner? Why should others pay for my education?

3) Even if we were able to create this wonderful land of gum drops and candy canes, and every single person were able to then go on and get a 4-year degree, do you know what would happen? Do you understand supply and demand? If everyone has one, it’s useless. Then you’d need at least a Master’s Degree to deliver pizzas.

So why do the Democrats continue to push programs that sound nice to the politically ignorant public, yet will cause more problems than they will solve?

If you think I’m wrong, don’t just bash with empty rhetoric. Please identify points 1, 2 or 3 and tell me where I’m wrong. Thanks….

im going to school for the same thing. I dont know what i want to do with my associates when i get it but i do know that if you look up whatever college you want to go to and type in associates for criminal justice and it will give you a list of career options.

I’m trying to decide which Master’s Degree I should get in Nursing. There is the Executive Specialty Track, Educator Specialty Track or the Informatics Specialty Track? I’m not too sure which ones is better then the other or which one allows me to get a good job. Please let me know.

Executive specialty will prepare you for managerial skill, this will benefit you most if you aim for managerial position. Educator basically is teaching another nurse. Informatics specialty will give you more advance skill of nursing involving with high tech devices, combining health care, information science and computer science.
I’d pick informatics because it gives more specialization for your nursing skill.

Certification = classes in a particular area but not enough classes to get a degree; more like specialized training in a particular subject
Associates = 2 year college degree
Bachelors = 4 year college degree
Masters = bachelors + 2-3 years
PhD = bachelors + masters + 2-6 years

No—and you can’t do this at a community college. You need a BA or BS degree from a university to be law school eligible.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but not very many that you could not get with an Associate’s degree in anything. Those who I know who have graduated with Bachelor’s degrees in psych have had to go back to school for a Master’s to get work, so I’m sure an associate’s would be even worse.

However, for a position related to psychology for which no degree is required, you might have a leg up. Such as a correctional officer in a juvenile facility…but I’m not certain. Experience would probably be better than an Associate’s degree.

Your four year degree is an “undergraduate” degree, you can do squat with it, it is intended to give you the base knowledge to move onto a graduate program. As for a masters you can work in the field of psychology but only under the supervision of a PhD. It also depends which sub field of psych you go into (ie Clinical, industrial)
