Hi! I’m starting grad school next week and I am very excited
I was wondering: All my classes are seminars. In my undergrad I only had lectures and labs. What is a seminar like? There are only 15 people in my class.
I’m just starting as a freshman, but I did an internship at Hopkins where I was required to sit in on grad health information science seminars taught by my mentor. It was pretty intimidating cause everyone there had like 4 masters degrees already. They were like guided discussions – many questions back and forth, and the students generally were working on some big project that incorporated what they discussed. They talked about those, presented, and got feedback from the professor.
